The 500X pressure relief/holding valve is mainly used in fire fighting or other water supply systems to prevent system overpressure or maintain pressure in fire fighting water supply systems. The fire pump can also be turned off to reduce the impact of the water hammer. Also used in water hammer eliminator for large water supply systems. When the pressure in the water supply line exceeds the set pressure of the pressure relief valve, the pressure relief valve automatically opens for rapid pressure relief to protect the safety of the pipeline. It can also be used as a pressure holding valve to ensure the water supply pressure upstream of the main valve.
